Once upon a time there was a Muse addicted to trying out for OC tournaments...
Yup, it's another one. I kinda got frustrated with just doing the spectator entries at

so when I found

, I decided to try out for it. Unfortunately, I didn't find out about it until auditions had already started, so I'm kinda running around to get this done in time O_o;

Anyway, it apparently takes place at an medical research place over run by monsters and creepies of various types.

Asylum will just be having so much fun in that situation

There's not a whole lot going on in this page, but it's just the set up throw-away page. And this time I have a better idea of a plot for poor Sy...

Art-wise, I decided to go to gray-scale, since it takes less time and honestly, I think it may look better, especially for the atmosphere I hope to create further on if I get into the contest.
I refuse to categorize this under 'digital art', because the line-work was done traditionally and took 3 hours, while the shading was done in 1.

BTW, the look of the setting is a slight (probably very inaccurate) reference to a certain video game. Try to guess which

I agree! Although I haven't actually seen the music working with the game . . . and I'm unsure if I want to! It sounds so scary and gory, and I can do scary, and ~some~ egore, but some things (The Grudge, The Ring . . . not Saw--I refuse to see ~any~ of those) leave scars. I still check under my bed, and I'm almost eighteen! I'm such a fraidy cat. . . .

But the music? Awesome.

heh, been there done that with the horror movies scaring me stuff... Well sort.

Despite the fact that I more or less write horror comics... I can't tolerate horror movies. sometimes not even horror books! I still run up the stairs if i'm the last one up at night and I had to turn all the lights off...

XD Me neither. I never have time (or else I plan continuously, get stuck, give up and never touch the game again. Bad habit)

Hey, the door in the first pannel has the Ultimate Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything on it! Neat! ^^! And Sy is back - yays! (I love Sy - he's such an interesting character - but I also feel sorry for him. He has so many troubles...)
