So, seeing as I knew I was going to have access to a computer with Photoshop (and no viruses!) that had a tablet pen (although no scanner) for a few days, I scripted out a small Spectator Entry for The Cure, expecting to use the time over the weekend to make a completely digital comic.
Somewhere between dealing with full scratch disks, defragmenting that took hours, a tablet pen that sucked rather badly and being kind of distracted because one of my best friends was staying over, I realized that just Wasn't Going To Happen. And I was sad.
And then I remembered I'd have a free period today at school I could use! Go me!
So here's part one of said spectator entry! I'm just doing it in pencil, so it's looooooots messier looking than my usual lineart, but honestly, I'm really rather liking the overall effect it creates. I threw in mah typical lighting and a touch of shading and higlights and wallah! Two pages, ready to go, in under two hours. That's like a new record for me :3 But I miss tablet pens. I can work with a mouse, but... No pen pressure ;_; But oh well. I'mma have access to a scanner again on thursday at the latest (although possibly as early as tomorrow if my Graphic Design teacher is feeling nice) so that'll be when I post part two.
Oh, and also, the text got kinda pixelated when I was adjusting the contrast and sharpness, so if you can't read something, let me know and I'll tell you what it says Sorry.
Anyways. I would like to make one last statement, this one relating to the actual comic content:
I've never said Asylum has any sort of amnesia.
Enjoy
P.S: This takes place literally right after the end of Slaying The Dreamer, in case you're wondering about timelines.
Asylum and the woman with the crew cut are mine Nev belongs to The song that Crew-cut lady is singing is "High on Sunday 51" by Aimee Mann and is a gorgeous song. Go take a listen!
There's definitely aspects to the inking I like more too, but there's elements in how the pencils come out that I like as well... I wanna find some way to combine them I think...
D: That is sad. You should totally go listen to it on youtube or something!
... Wow. that is a weird song. I can't really blame Sy for saying soaymore. I mean, the lyrics are just stranger when you're listening to them than when you read them.
D: And I sadly don't know that song.

Thankyou, tho.
