I like this page :3 All the panels did what I wanted them to.

This'll be the last of the one-right-after-another pages for a day or two, since I haven't even started the pencils for the next page yet... Luckily, there was an extension (a LONG one too!) so I can work at more leisurely a pace now.

There's a little confusion over whether Asylum's arm just got chopped off. it obviously didn't, the reason being that Cier is using her 'Soul Render' type weapons. Which she sorta vaguely explains on this page. They cause no real physical damage, but make you feel all the pain of the 'wound'.

The glow-y red around where Asylum's 'injuries' are isn't blood, for the record. I just though it looked very strange for him not to have ANY physical sign of injury (even though that's the point) so I added... I dunno 'damaged spirit' effects or whatnot.

For the record, ' Pain Threshold' and ' Pain Tolerance' are very different. Asylum is so tough-bodied, it takes a lot for pain to even properly register (thus, a high pain threshold) but because he doesn't really feel pain very often, he doesn't deal with it as well as he might otherwise (thus, a low pain tolerance)

... I should so have been doing my homework instead of this. Actually, I should still be doing it... >>;
