Asylum pages 188-191 ch10

Bwah! I kept ya waiting a while with this, eh? But you can't blame me, I've had alot of personal junk happening (see my journal for details). I totally had these pages ready to post yesterday night, but... I fell asleep first So here they are now!

page 188
panel1: a moment of calm before a storm...
panel2: One thing I was very careful with was that this wouldn't be typical 'evil/possesed/outofcontrol' Danny. I have no problem with those, they're quite amusing plot devices acctually. I just wanted to make this... different. Hopefully you'll see what I mean.
panel3: AAAGGGHH, I don't like this panel. Marshall looks funky and Danny looks wierd -_-...
panel4: Marshall's body looks too flart here (although he did just get thrown into a wall at high speed)
panel5: no comment

panel1: One big issue I feel I've been having with this chapter is odd panel transitions. Although I like how this looks, I feel this was a wierd shift from last page...
panel2: Notice she doesn't call him 'ghost' or something, but instead calls him by his 'name'.
panel3: I hate drawing feet
panel4: I REALLY hate drawing feet
panel5: Danny's supposed to be walking forward, incase that's not very clear.
panel6: no comment
panel7: I made Marshall's eyes brown. Why? Becuase I cannot think of a SINGLE DP character with brown eyes (there are more people with PURPLE eyes then brown!) so I felt that he needed it.

panel1: *ahem* This, uh, was half drawn during a period when I'd had very, very little sleep the night before, so there's something off about the shading.
panel2: No comment
panel3: Man, I've just been having alot of trouble making what's happening in these panels clear this week!
panel4: ugh, probably the worst transition between panels ever. Shoulda made it an upper-cut... But other then that, I really like how this came out!

panel1: no comment
panel2: The thing he just threw was what he was reaching into his coat for on page 190, just for the record
panel3: Oh man, I ADORE this panel! Between Danny's expression, the layout and the shading, it just came out exactly as I'd hoped!
panel4: BIG BANG BOOM!! Sorry, had to be said. If anyone complains that the explosion isn't symmetrical, well, guess what, in real life they aren't. It was a bit of a challenge trying to balance the blue from the ectoplasm with the firey-stuff to make it look like a bomb going off (which it is). The only thing that seriously bugs me here is that the digital effects cover up a decent amount of the original artwork (which I liked...)

so there you go, 4 pages to start off the first chapter! This chapter is the first one focusing on battles scenes, so there's probably gonna be some awkward moments art-wise as I learn how to draw certain things...
